A unique concert experience awaits as ROME and Of The Wand And The Moon embark on an exclusive European tour through churches, chapels, cloisters, castles, and other historic venues, spanning the continent from London to Milan, Prague to Kraków, and Berlin to Rome.
As demonstrated throughout its extensive catalogue of concept albums, Luxembourg's ROME has consistently explored themes of history, philosophy, spiritual quest, and faith. The project has examined existential and historical conflicts while approaching the sacred through a variety of perspectives. Since its inception, ROME has navigated a complex intersection of profound spiritual expression, personal struggle, and transcendence. Deeply rooted in Europe's shared cultural heritage, bringing this body of work to places of worship across the continent feels like a natural progression.
ROME, the musical project of Jérôme Reuter, will present an exclusive solo set featuring material from the acclaimed companion albums The Tower and The Hierophant, alongside a selection of early works that have rarely, if ever, been performed live. Stripped back to their rawest essence, these songs embrace a radically minimalist folk aesthetic, creating a spiritual travelogue of magical splendour, introspective longing, and the timeless tension between faith and doubt, perfectly suited to the unique surroundings of this tour.
Opening each evening will be an exclusive solo performance by Kim Larsen as Of The Wand And The Moon. Renowned for crafting a distinctive world of melancholy, intimacy, and twilight atmospheres, Larsen has increasingly drawn inspiration from the singer-songwriters of the 1960s and 1970s, including Lee Hazlewood, Leonard Cohen, and Serge Gainsbourg. His special set will offer a broad retrospective of the various artistic phases that have shaped his celebrated career. Link
