French avant-garde metal act Vénus Bleue is proud to announce its signing with Wormholedeath for the release of its debut album, Infâme Nectar, on 14 February 2025. Drawing from the influences of Anathema, Porcupine Tree, Ange, and Opeth, the band forges a distinctive path through the realms of progressive rock, melancholic metal, and cinematic soundscapes.
Infâme Nectar is not just an album - it's an emotional odyssey. A rich, multi-layered work of art developed across late 2022 and early 2023, it explores the deeper recesses of human emotion with dark poeticism and phantasmagoric soundscapes. Each track bleeds into the next, creating a continuous sonic experience where blazing riffs, haunting piano melodies, orchestral electronica, and dramatic vocals collide. A record meant to be heard and felt - a reader's song and a virtuoso's story wrapped into one.
Founder and visionary Vénus B. (composition, vocals, guitars, bass, and synths) explains: "Infâme Nectar is a journey through surrealist landscapes, where light and shadow merge and reshape reality. We wanted to create an immersive experience, something that feels cinematic and literary at the same time".
Joining Vénus B. are core members Neptune B. (piano), Mercure B. (violins, keyboards, soundscapes), and the rhythmic might of studio drummer Jupiter B. Together, they weave a sonic tapestry that draws the listener into an ethereal world of beauty and darkness, where melancholic introspection meets sonic aggression.
To give fans a taste of what's to come, the band has released the single and lyric video, "Latente Liquéfaction". Link
