From the concrete depths of Kouvola, Finland, emerges The Harbinger, a band that fuses yearning doom-laden melodies with the crushing weight of death metal riffs. Their latest offering, the EP Gates Of Hell, has just been released via Inverse Records, accompanied by a brand-new music video for the track "Bleak Salvation".
Formed in the cold winter of 2016, The Harbinger have steadily carved their path through the Finnish underground. After enduring line-up changes and refining their sonic identity, the band unveiled their debut EP Shadows Dance through three singles released between 2020 and 2021. This was followed by the Dead Ends EP in 2023, a release that showcased a sharpened sound and a more defined stylistic vision.
With Gates Of Hell, The Harbinger continue their ascent, weaving together melodic doom and death metal into a soundscape that is both crushing and cathartic.
