US‑based electronic act Dismantled has released a brand‑new single “Zero”, marking the first official preview of the long‑awaited sixth studio album Endless, due out on 20 November via Metropolis Records.
Founded in 2000 by Gary Zon, Dismantled spent the following decade carving out a distinctive identity within the electro‑industrial landscape. Their catalogue blended multi‑layered industrial aggression with melodic trance elements, resulting in a brooding, futuristic sound that earned the project a dedicated following across the dark electronic scene.
With “Zero”, Zon reconnects with that early DNA while pushing it into a sleeker, cyberpunk‑infused direction. The track is a high‑energy dancefloor assault, crawling with nanowire‑like synth textures, noise‑laden atmospheres, and melodic vocals that cut through the distortion. Lyrically and sonically, “Zero” reflects on the contrast between the optimistic electronic era of the mid‑2000s—particularly around the release of Dismantled’s acclaimed third album Standard Issue—and the pervasive sense of emptiness felt in society today.
Endless was primarily recorded in Oregon and later completed in Southern California, a process Zon describes as his most cohesive and creatively revitalising to date. He notes that longtime listeners will recognise intentional callbacks to earlier works, woven subtly into the album’s structure as a way of reconnecting with the project’s origins while forging a new chapter.
With “Zero”, Dismantled steps confidently back into the spotlight—bridging past and present, nostalgia and futurism, and reaffirming the project’s place within the modern electro‑industrial landscape. Link
