Northern Virginia electronic/industrial duo Digital Negative, the project of Richard Johnson (Drugs Of Faith, Agoraphobic Nosebleed, Enemy Soil) and Daniel Euphrat (Person918x, Timmy Sells His Soul, Bodied), have announced the release of Collected Assets, a comprehensive compilation gathering the band's work to date.

Set for release on 13 November via Mold Dominion, the independent label operated by Pig Destroyer's JR Hayes, Collected Assets brings together all three of Digital Negative's EPs released between 2021 and 2025. The collection also includes two live recordings captured in Washington, D.C., alongside the brand-new track "Outgroup", exclusive to this release.

Spanning 18 tracks, the compilation showcases the duo's distinctive blend of dystopian electronics, industrial textures, fractured beats and sample-driven noise. Speaking about the new song, Daniel Euphrat revealed that "Outgroup" incorporates an eclectic range of sound sources, including a field recording of a reverberating metal gate used as a bass element, complemented by layers of drone recordings functioning as synthesizers.

Euphrat also highlighted the improvisational nature of the band's live performances, where backing tracks are manipulated in real time through multi-effects processing, augmented by noise feedback loops and live percussion triggering. The resulting recordings capture the raw immediacy and unpredictability of Digital Negative's concert experience. Listen to "Outgroup" below. Link
