Time And The Hunter, the visionary musical project of Enrico Longhin (The Moor) and Niklas Sundin (formerly of Dark Tranquillity and Mitochondrial Sun), has shared its third single and video, "The Following Silence", from its impending debut full-length, Weapon Pt. I, scheduled for release on 25 April via Inertial Music.
A major highlight of "The Following Silence" is a collaboration with renowned vocalist Mikael Stanne (Dark Tranquillity, The Halo Effect, Cemetery Skyline, Grand Cadaver), who delivers a powerful duet with Enrico Longhin. The lyrics were co-written by Longhin and Stanne, blending their unique styles into an emotionally charged and introspective composition.
Longhin shares his thoughts on the track: "It's a deeply introspective piece. When we reached this stage of the arrangements, we immediately thought of Mikael as a guest. He had been following the project's development behind the scenes, and his contribution to the lyrics was a perfect fit for both his voice and the song's message".
The accompanying music video, directed by Linda Florin, was filmed in Budapest and captures a noir, Eastern European atmosphere that perfectly complements the song's mood. The video features Stanne and Longhin performing together, creating an evocative and immersive visual experience.
Regarding the video shoot, Longhin adds: "Mikael was on tour with The Halo Effect, and we took advantage of their Budapest date since the location was ideal for adding depth to the song. I arrived a day earlier to scout locations, and the next day we shot everything in just two hours. It felt as if we had rehearsed it countless times. What made it into the final cut was entirely improvised, guided by the song's mood. Even passers-by were drawn into the atmosphere - it was simply magical. I am certain this authenticity shines through in the video, just as it does in the song itself: simple yet effective, with arrangements and melodies that are unmistakably Time And The Hunter". Link
