Brazilian's post-punk/darkwave/synth-pop trio The Lautreamonts is already known for being in constant mutation. With the newly released track "Realms Beyond", The Lautreamonts went deeper into post-punk sounds, while the song is more aggressive and danceable. "Realms Beyond" was released digitally through Paranoia Musique Records.
In "Realms Beyond", the narrator reflects on the feeling of helplessness in the face of the challenges of life and human experience. It is an invitation to think and search for meaning in a world that often seems the introspective and sensitive atmosphere is depicted at times in Anne Clark's recited style, at others in an ethereal Cocteau Twins style, culminating in an almost shouted tone through the final choruses. The striking electronic drums and sombre bass line form the basis of the single. "Realms Beyond" is perhaps the closest thing to a "traditional" post-punk/gothic, and yet, in the heterodox context of The Lautreamonts.
Active since 2018, The Lautreamonts stands out not only for the refinement of its compositions and recordings but also for the multimedia experience of its shows, which feature lights, video and impactful performances. Link
