Norwegian avant‑garde black metal entity Slagmaur have unleashed a fierce new track, "Ritual Dogs", serving as the final advance single from their impending album Hulders Ritual, due for release on 27 February via Prophecy Productions.
Slagmaur's General Gribbsphiiser comments: "With 'Ritual Dogs', we continue the multi-layered theme of Hulders Ritual by drawing from a folk legend from the forests of Varghiet in the mountainous area of Fosen in the Trøndelag. In this tale, twelve black-clad figures are observed standing in a circle and worshipping a dog, positioned at the centre. The story became the gateway to 'Ritual Dogs'. This track is also intended as a tribute to our sadly late band mascot: a heartfelt memento for Troy Nagel Kirkebrenner!"
