The US genre‑defying project Embers Of Dawn — known for fusing industrial, gothic, melodic death metal, and cyber‑metal into a cinematic yet punishing hybrid — has unveiled their new single “Age Of Corrosion”. The track serves as the latest preview of the upcoming full‑length Infernal Culture, set for release on 18 September.

“Age Of Corrosion” draws on the precision of Fear Factory and the abrasive industrial grind of Ministry, while pushing the band’s dystopian aesthetic into even harsher territory. The single also features a standout guest performance by Adrian Erlandsson (Paradise Lost, Cradle Of Filth, At The Gates), whose drumming injects additional weight and urgency into the track’s mechanised assault.

Embers Of Dawn elaborate on the song’s thematic core: “The song presents the fact that humanity has entered a defining era of decay. As a reflection of current global events, the lyrics convey anger, disillusionment, and mockery. It critiques modern power structures — governments, media, technology — that corrode truth and empathy, while suggesting that this is not an abrupt collapse but a grinding, mechanized process of erosion.”

Musically, “Age Of Corrosion” arrives with a brutalist, machine‑driven impact. Each rhythmic strike lands with obliterating heaviness, while layered synth textures construct an oppressive, inescapable dystopian atmosphere. Vocoder‑treated vocals add an inhuman edge, contrasting with harsh vocal passages that amplify the track’s already intense sonic density. A slower, more melodic bridge introduces a moment of uneasy calm before the composition returns to its sharp, structural rhythms. The single was produced, mixed, and mastered by Richii Wainwright.

Earlier this year, Embers Of Dawn released “The Passing”, a heartfelt tribute to Type O Negative and Peter Steele — a track that showcased the project’s emotional range beneath its industrial exoskeleton. If you've missed it, you can still check it out over HERE. Link
