Italian gothic‑doom stalwarts The Foreshadowing have revealed "The Wave Is On The Right Side", the first cut from their forthcoming studio album Ozymandias, set to emerge on 20 November via Lifeforce Records.

Speaking about the new track, the band state: "'The Wave Is on the Right Side' is a provocative track that confronts the growing wave of right-wing nationalist governments pursuing militaristic policies, while also condemning an ineffective and complacent left-wing that has failed to act to prevent the world from becoming an increasingly darker and more hostile place".

Since forming in 2005, The Foreshadowing have stood as one of the most distinctive voices within gothic metal, doom metal, and dark metal. The Rome‑based group quickly established a reputation for songs that merge atmospheric depth, melodic elegance, and emotional expression. Their characteristic clean vocals, cinematic arrangements, and refined sense of mood have secured their place as a constant presence within the international dark‑music landscape.

With Ozymandias — their second release on Lifeforce Records following New Wave Order (2024) — the Italian ensemble opens a particularly compelling new chapter. Across nine songs, the band sound mature, focused, and inspired. While the familiar melancholic undertone remains, The Foreshadowing deliberately embrace a more empowering, hopeful narrative direction: one that treats introspection not as a burden but as a source of strength.
