With The Frame drawing ever closer to its release, Dikajee continues to unveil new chapters from the album's deeply personal narrative. Following the recent premiere of "Friar's Lantern (feat. Guillaume Bernard)", the visionary multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter now presents her latest single, "Travel Through Time".
Serving as the album's closing piece, "Travel Through Time" confronts themes of grief, loss, and remembrance. The song revisits musical motifs and lyrical fragments introduced at the beginning of the record, bringing the journey full circle while reflecting on the enduring impact of death and the memories left behind.
Speaking about the track and its accompanying lyric video, Dikajee explains: "'Travel Through Time' is another song where I try to express how death and grief work. It closes the album by bringing back riffs and lines from the first track, marking the end of the journey. The song captures that strange feeling of loss: it's like stepping off a train platform while the person you love remains on board, knowing you'll never see or speak to them again. Every conversation and every shared moment now belongs to the past, and no new memories will be made. It also deals with the funeral itself and carries a few references to David Lynch. At the very end, a choir of my listeners and friends sings two lines that reveal the album's title: 'Death is framing, framing everything.'"
Set for release on 6 November, The Frame brings together an impressive international cast of guest musicians. Among those appearing on the album are Jonathan Noyce (Archive, Jethro Tull), Varijashree Venugopal (Snarky Puppy), German Vergara (Aisles), Guillaume Bernard (KLONE), Christian Ayala (Avandra), and Vikram Shankar (Pain Of Salvation, Charlotte Wessels, Within Temptation, Lux Terminus), alongside several other distinguished collaborators.
