Italian symphonic/alternative rock band Violet Blend unveil their new video single “The Reign of Sadness” alongside the psychological card game “Talk or Stalk?”. Far from a typical release, the project is part of a bold awareness campaign tackling the complex realities of stalking.
Led by powerhouse vocalist Giada Celeste Chelli, the quartet channels raw emotion into a video that explores the trauma of victims ' feelings of entrapment, paranoia, and helplessness. “The lyrics are based on real experience,” Giada explains. “They capture the cage-like fear, guilt, and psychological deterioration that stalking inflicts.”
The single sets the stage for “Talk or Stalk?”, a unique game designed by Giada with psychologist Dr. Eva Cristofanelli and social worker Dr. Margherita Petti. Inspired by real behavioural surveys, the game challenges players to distinguish between care and obsession, interest and intrusion. Through bluffing, deduction, and debate, participants confront the blurred line between concern and control.
Much like Among Us, the game blends entertainment with social insight. Violet Blend describe it as “an emotional laboratory—an exercise in conscience where players learn by recognising, listening, and stepping into another’s shoes.”
Crucially, “Talk or Stalk?” aims not to condemn but to prevent: raising awareness, sparking reflection, and encouraging behavioural correction before actions slip into dangerous territory.
With “The Reign of Sadness” and “Talk or Stalk?”, Violet Blend transform music and play into powerful tools for cultural dialogue—proving that art can be both captivating and socially vital.
