Italian masters of dark, genre-defying soundscapes, The Elephant Man, are back with a visceral new single, "Lies Are My Perfect Drug", and a dystopian vision that will leave you breathless. "Lies Are My Perfect Drug" is a haunting preview of their upcoming album, Redemption, set for release in September 2025.
Following the success of "Sinners", which won Best Video at the Arpa International Film Festival in Los Angeles, Redemption promises an even more ambitious chapter, blending post-industrial rock, dreamscapes, and distorted reflections of an era where truth is currency. Offering no redemption, The Elephant Man unleashes a track that acts as a black mirror: those brave enough to gaze into it will confront the monster within.
Produced by Max Zanotti and the band, the single, "Lies Are My Perfect Drug", marks a sonic evolution: claustrophobic synths, jagged guitars, and industrial rhythms intertwine in a darkwave-rock labyrinth, evoking the unease of an unmade David Lynch film. Completing the vision is the dystopian music video by Davide Forleo, a director of disturbing visuals, plunging viewers into a sickening metaverse: grotesque avatars, collapsing worlds, and crumbling masks mirror society's obsession with collective fictions.
