SINE, the creative vessel of US drummer, multi‑instrumentalist and electronic artist Rona Rougeheart, returns with a striking new single, “Blood + Wine”, released through Metropolis Records. Built for the modern dancefloor, the track pulses with bold electronic basslines, sub‑bass drops, and a vocal delivery that slips effortlessly between playful, frenetic, and seductively sharp.
Rougeheart describes the song’s emotional core as a chase without end: “Creating this song was about capturing the tension of chasing something that always feels just out of reach; the feeling of an endless pursuit.”
“Blood + Wine” marks a significant moment for SINE, standing as Rougeheart’s first fully self‑produced track. Its creation emerged from a period of constant movement, with Rougeheart spending much of the year touring the US alongside Clan Of Xymox, PIG, and Nitzer Ebb.
“There was little time to focus on making my new album for 2025, as I was often away on tour,” she explains. “But being around those artists taught me a lot. Once home, I began applying everything I had absorbed, and that led to this new track. It became my first real test of self‑producing, and I was genuinely happy with the result. I’m really proud of the progress I’ve made.”
Mastering was handled by Mark Pistel (Meat Beat Manifesto, Consolidated), ensuring the track retains the polished punch of SINE’s self‑described “electronic boom” aesthetic.
With its sleek production and shadow‑drenched club energy, “Blood + Wine” will resonate with listeners drawn to the experimental and emotionally charged edges of electronic music. Fans of FKA twigs, Phantogram, Patriarchy, Grimes, and Fever Ray will find plenty to savour in SINE’s latest evolution. Link
