Ruoska, the long‑standing Finnish industrial metal band, released their sixth studio album, Kade, on 27 February via Inverse Music Group and have now revealed a video for the title track. The video was directed by Henrik Mennander, and its narrative unfolds in a post‑apocalyptic world where the last remnants of humanity live under the constant threat of hydrogen bomb strikes.

In the story, a mythical creature known as Kade gazes down from a cliff at the ravaged planet as bombs continue to rain upon its surface. The few remaining survivors retreat underground whenever red warning lights appear, returning briefly to the surface only when a green signal indicates that the danger has momentarily subsided.

A shared passion for fantasy, science fiction, and post‑apocalyptic themes forms the foundation of the collaboration between Ruoska's vocalist, Patrik Mennander, and music video director Henrik Mennander. They aimed to create a cinematic—or rather, "short‑film‑like"—narrative, while also reintroducing the band visually, as this release marks something of a comeback.

Ruoska will tour across Finland throughout the spring and summer to celebrate the new album. Link
