Russian atmospheric black metal force Malist have unveiled "Eternal Echo", the second track taken from their forthcoming full‑length, Eternal Echo Of The Fall. The accompanying video is set to premiere on 15 May, while the album itself will arrive on 12 June via Flowing Downward on vinyl and CD.

Riff‑driven and immediate, Malist's sound remains firmly rooted in the finest traditions of atmospheric black metal, yet continues to experiment with post-metal passages and modern-oriented melodic approaches. Often epic and fiercely expressive, Eternal Echo Of The Fall promises a carefully balanced journey between anger and melancholy, rawness and suggestive atmosphere. Its shifting structures move fluidly from slow, enchanted passages to fiery, aggressive surges, with meticulous arrangements and a wealth of ideas giving each track its own distinct identity.

Lyrically inspired by Tolkien's legendarium, the album explores themes of choice, consequence, and the shadow of demiurgic hunger for absolute dominion. In moments of foreordination, the fading echo becomes a hymn to self‑sacrifice — a reflection on destiny, resistance, and the cost of defiance.

Now six albums into their prolific career, Malist show no signs of slowing. What began as the solo vision of Ovfrost has since grown into a full live band, ready to bring their majestic and shadowed sound to the stage. Link
