A new ritual is about to begin. Octopus Rising, the forward-thinking division of Argonauta Records, proudly announces the signing of Maison Dieu, the Italian trio forging a dark and hypnotic sonic path they define as "mystic doom".
Emerging from Senigallia, Maison Dieu channel a powerful blend of ritualistic atmospheres, psychedelic tension and crushing doom weight, drawing inspiration from the haunting intensity of Chelsea Wolfe, the spiritual depth of Wardruna and Nytt Land, and the heavy hypnotic force of Acid King and Messa. The result is a sound that feels both ancient and modern, mystical yet devastatingly heavy.
Driven by the magnetic presence of Ester on vocals and guitar, with Mauro on bass and vocals and Ivan on drums, the trio crafts immersive sonic landscapes where massive riffs intertwine with trance-like rhythms and evocative melodies. Their lyrics move fluidly between Italian, English and a mysterious original language created by Ester, further expanding the band's unique aura.
After the release of their Herbacea EP (March 2025) and an intense run of European shows across multiple countries, Maison Dieu are now entering the studio to shape their debut full-length, which will be released via Octopus Rising. A work currently in the making, promising a deep journey through shadow, mysticism and sonic heaviness.
The band comments: "We are thrilled to announce the beginning of our collaboration with Argonauta Records. A new chapter has started, along with the journey that will lead to the birth of our first full-length album. We can't wait to shape the next phase of our path together and bring our music even further".
More details about the upcoming album will be revealed soon. Stay tuned. Link
