Alt-rock maverick Love Ghost and industrial legend SKOLD have dropped a treacherous new single/video, "Ski Mask", from a self-titled (Love Ghost X SKOLD) debut full-length, coming out on 22 November via Metropolis Records.
Finnegan Bell on "Ski Mask": "'Ski Mask' has a more crestfallen vibe akin to what a broken society feels like. The song is influenced by how an over-medicated youth can find it hard to manage the ups and downs of life as an adult".
"This second single 'Ski Mask' explores a darker side of our creativity, touching on ups and downs not usually explored in such a catchy almost pop format", says Tim Skold.
Finnegan adds: "This is a song that takes you on an emotional journey whilst combining multiple genres and subjects. The lyrics deal with my personal relationship with pharmaceuticals and how I feel that my generation was over-medicated. It's about altered brain chemistry and how it leads you to some very dark places which is why the song is told through the perspective of a heist. Hence the title 'Ski Mask'. These songs are literally musical storytelling".
