Greek black metal stalwarts Insanity Cult are thrilled to announce the release of their highly anticipated fourth full-length, Κάθοδος (Kathodos), set to drop on 28 February via Tragedy Productions in collaboration with Order of Antinomianism. The album will initially be available in a 4-panel digipak CD format, while a vinyl edition will come later in 2025.
This release marks a new chapter in the band's relentless exploration of dissonance, melancholy, and experimental sonic landscapes. The first single, "Whispering Depths", is already out.
After years of absence, though far from dormant, Insanity Cult returns to the forefront of the black metal scene with Κάθοδος, an album that reflects its continued evolution and commitment to crafting nightmarish yet epic soundscapes. The new record - drawing inspiration from the depths of despair and the boundless void - seamlessly blends the raw intensity of the second wave of black metal with experimental nuances that push the genre's boundaries.
Since its formation in 2011, Insanity Cult has carved a unique path in the black metal underground. With three full-length albums, two split releases, and an EP, the band has established itself as a force to be reckoned with. Known for its tortured vocals, melodic yet abrasive riffs, and immersive atmospheres, Insanity Cult has consistently delivered music that invites listeners to confront the chaos and beauty within.
