Finnish industrial metal juggernaut Dome Runner have released their sophomore album, World Panopticon, on Svart Records.
The release of the new album was accompanied by a video (filmed and edited by Manu Pohjonen) for the song "Android Hybrids Immortal", representing the more straightforward side of the record with its running time of just over two minutes.
The band's songwriter and mastermind, Simo Perkiömäki, comments on the new album: "Making this record took everything we got, and it's been a long time coming, but here we are, sealing in our work between the last five years (and further). Can't wait for everyone to hear it".
World Panopticon, the 77‑minute double album, showcases the band's most fearless and compelling songwriting to date, pushing both dynamically and sonically further than ever before. Thematically emerging from a dystopian world as an escapist narrative, it fuses reflections on the modern and future workings of society with a focus on rebirth— rebirth of the self shackled within yet driven to break free. The album invites the listener to journey deeper into the world around and beyond, open to all who dare to immerse themselves. Link
