Australia's symphonic metallers, Desolate Symphony, have revealed their haunting new single, "Karma", marking the band's second official release following their acclaimed debut track, "Death's Shadow".
A fierce fusion of orchestral grandeur and metal intensity, "Karma" tells the story of betrayal and the inevitable justice that follows, a chilling reminder that what you sow, you shall reap. Originally written in 2015 by vocalist and songwriter Nur NH under the title "Revenge" (in Indonesian), the track has been reborn a decade later with new life, new power, and a new identity through Desolate Symphony.
"Karma is a curse song, it's about facing the consequences of your own actions", says Nur. "The song stayed with me for years, and I always knew it needed to be heard. Recreating it with Desolate Symphony gave it the emotion and energy it deserves".
Recorded and produced entirely through self-production, "Karma" showcases the band's dedication to authenticity and passion for crafting cinematic metal soundscapes. The line-up features Damian Gatte on guitar, Harry Steele on bass, Tommy Dee on drums, and Nur NH on vocals. Together, they blend raw emotion with symphonic depth, creating a sound both grand and deeply personal.
Since forming, Desolate Symphony has been making waves across New South Wales, Victoria, and the ACT with a string of live shows and regional tours. With two singles now released, the band is already setting its sights on the next milestone, the creation of their first EP, set to showcase even more of their evolving artistry.
"We hope you all enjoy our songs, there's so much more we want to share with you", the band says. "This is only the beginning." Link
