Lithuania's chaotic post-metal innovators Aortes, previously known as Autism, have unveiled a heartfelt tribute with their compelling new cover of Joy Division's iconic track, "New Dawn Fades". Recognising the profound influence Joy Division has had in shaping the band's musical tastes and artistic vision, Aortes has reimagined the classic song, infusing it with its distinct blend of atmospheric textures, doom-laden riffs, and visceral blackened hardcore intensity.
This reinterpretation of "New Dawn Fades" transforms Joy Division's melancholic post-punk anthem into an expansive sonic journey marked by eerie ambience and crushing heaviness. Aortes skillfully balances the haunting emotional depth of the original with its own restless, genre-defying energy, demonstrating its deep respect for the influential band while pushing the boundaries of post-metal even further.
The cover is a testament to Aortes' bold artistic vision and sincere admiration for Joy Division, seamlessly merging raw emotion with intricate arrangements. Fans of experimental and extreme music will find themselves immersed in this fresh, powerful homage to a beloved classic. Link
