Industrial pop powerhouse Aesthetic Perfection has joined forces with Swedish electro-pop and synthwave act Priest for their new collaborative single, "Rorschach", released today via Out Of Line Music. The track arrives just one day before the two acts embark on a ten-date co-headlining European tour.
Blending Aesthetic Perfection's infectious industrial-pop energy with Priest's sleek, retro-futuristic synthwave edge, "Rorschach" delivers a dark and compelling sonic experience. Driven by a relentless electronic pulse, the collaboration fuses cinematic synth textures, cold melodies, and hard-hitting rhythms into a track that feels equally suited to the dancefloor and the dystopian future it evokes.
Lyrically, the song explores themes of perception, identity, and projection. Drawing inspiration from the psychological inkblot test that gives the track its title, the narrator becomes a mirror for the assumptions and desires of others. Lines such as “You see me like a Rorschach / You see what you want to see” capture the song's central premise, while the defiant refrain “No, I'm not what I seem to be” challenges the distorted images imposed by outside observers.
The release marks another milestone in an already eventful year for Aesthetic Perfection. Throughout 2026, the band completed an extensive US headline run, performed at both days of Leipzig's Till Fest, and appeared at major European festivals including M'era Luna and Summer Breeze Open Air.
Aesthetic Perfection and Priest will kick off their Suckers For Punishment Tour on 30 October in Sheffield. The trek will take the bands through key European cities including Paris, Cologne, Berlin, Munich, and several others before concluding in Hamburg on 14 November. Looking further ahead, Aesthetic Perfection will return to the United States in spring 2027 for a tour alongside Powerman 5000, followed by an appearance at AMPHI Festival 2027 in Cologne.
With "Rorschach", Aesthetic Perfection and Priest have delivered a fitting preview of what audiences can expect when the two acts share stages across Europe: a striking collision of industrial intensity, synth-driven atmosphere, and dark electronic sophistication. Link
