Following the previously released "Seer" and "To The Sinking", atmospheric metallers The Man-Eating Tree have delivered another glimpse, "Ruins Of Insanity", into the soon-to-be-released (11 April via Noble Demon) Night Verses album.
Vocalist Manne Ikonen (ex-Ghost Brigade) tells us about the song: "'Ruins Of Insanity' tells a horrifying story about a couple struggling with severe addiction and acquisitiveness in a dystopic world of chaos and misery, mind taken over by blinding lunacy so strong that reality and common sense is no longer in hand".
Founding member Janne Markus adds: "Melancholy, own, common, hated, ashamed, loved, desired. The disintegration of two people's world and its reflection in everything around them. Leaving only emptiness. As a song, this is the most straight-forward, catchy, melodic, not as heavy as the other songs on the album".
