Germany-based Silver Tears, the new joint venture by Luca Venezia (Curses) and Damian Shilman (Skelesys), has revealed the first single and video, "Remember", from its forthcoming self-titled debut full-length due on 23 May via AVANT! Records.
The Silver Tears album offers eight new cuts of elegant electronic beat-driven coldwave with baritone vocals, sharp arpeggios and no lack of slow passages, recalling 90s shoegaze or moody grunge. A subtle play of juxtaposition of dancing moments and introspective retreats, dancefloor-oriented grooves and caustic precipices, sometimes crowned by the two duetting at vocals.
One wide musical cape to cloak all the angles of the goth subculture and prove how this can still be relevant many years after it appeared. Recommended for fans of Clan Of Xymox, Fields Of The Nephilim, Dead Can Dance, She Past Away, and Twin Tribes. Link
