Germany's Servant have been forging their melodic yet furious strain of black metal since 2021, swiftly establishing themselves within the underground and beyond. With their first two albums — Blessed By The Light Of A Thousand Stars (2021) and Aetas Ascensus (2023) — the collective laid a solid foundation, performing at numerous festivals and club shows across Germany.
In 2024, Servant issued their critically acclaimed third full‑length, Death Devil Magick, followed by extensive touring across Western and Eastern Europe throughout 2024 and 2026. Renowned for their authentic yet modern approach to melodic black metal, the ensemble combine intensity, atmosphere, and fervour into a distinctive sonic identity.
Continuing their evolution, Servant are now ready to present their fourth studio opus, Lux Ex Inferis, due out on 2 October under AOP Records. Expanding upon their established style, the new record merges epic structures with haunting melodies, crafting a multi‑layered soundscape where passion meets grandeur.
Balancing tradition with progression, Servant deliver a sound that feels both familiar and forward‑thinking — uncompromising, powerful, and darkly captivating. In support of the new album, the band will embark on a tour (see dates below) alongside Firtan and Speere.
The band have now unveiled the second cut, "Glorification", from Lux Ex Inferis. Link
