German atmospheric black‑metal formation Schattenvald are set to release their first professionally recorded full‑length, Alle Hernach, on 3 April via the newly resurrected German label Solisitium Records.
Rooted deeply in regional lore, Alle Hernach recounts the story of the forest prophet Mühlhiasl, a mysterious figure who lived in the Bavarian Forest in the early 19th century. His prophecies remain woven into the traditional knowledge and customs of Northern Bavaria, preserved in the collective memory of its inhabitants.
Recorded, mixed, and mastered at Nightside Audio in 2025, the album features cover artwork by Sperber Illustrationen.
Schattenvald began as a one‑man project founded by Nachtsturm, who released six demos, several EPs, and a number of split releases up to 2025. The line‑up expanded in 2010 when Iskharian joined as vocalist, and became complete in 2025 with the addition of Tyrann on bass. The band have now entered a long‑term collaboration with Solistitium Records.
A few days ago, Schattenvald unveiled the first single and accompanying video, “Der Nachtwanderer”. The video was crafted by Aldaris (Nebula Animations), and you can watch it below. Link
