Dutch epic black metal entity Saille have released their new single and accompanying video, “Deception Of Decadence” — a harrowing plunge into existential dread and the unsettling comfort found in its depths. The track serves as the latest preview of the band’s forthcoming sixth album, Forebode, due on 13 February via Non Serviam Records.
Vocalist Jesse Peetoom describes the song as an exploration of inner collapse and the erosion of identity. “The lyrics portray an inner battle with darkness, pain, and the slow draining of life,” he explains. Themes of death‑obsession, transcendence, and cyclical destruction intertwine with occult symbolism, reflecting a desperate search for meaning, power, or control. “Ultimately it’s about enduring suffering while being drawn toward an isolated, self‑defined infinity.”
The video, crafted by Tamara Llenas of Aimed & Framed (Spain), adopts a 3D game‑style aesthetic filled with hidden references to Saille’s past albums, offering fans an additional layer of discovery.
Forebode promises to expand the band’s signature blend of grandeur and bleakness, with more details available through Non Serviam Records (more information about the album can be found over HERE). Link
