France's Résonance Magnétique, the dark electro/industrial noise project of Ludovic Dhenry, establishes its latest raw structural framework with a new instalment, "atomic mass unit" — a six‑minute excursion engineered to function like a relentless, automated mechanism.
Propelled by a massive, heavily distorted drum machine and martial cadences, the piece simulates a clinical, unstoppable industrial force. Serrated noise synths accumulate over this automated sequence until 1:15, where a cold, oppressive dark ambient pad emerges unusually early in the composition. This atmospheric pivot stabilises the surrounding industrial turbulence, submerging the mechanical tension into a profoundly bleak, gothic‑infused ambience for the remainder of its trajectory.
The track was composed, sound-designed, mixed, and mastered by Ludovic Dhenry in his home studio, and issued through his own label, Neris Records. Link
