UK dark alternative/synth-pop veterans Mesh have unveiled the video for "Fallen Angel", the title track from their forthcoming mini-album of the same name, due for release on 27 November via Dependent Records.
Arriving in the wake of the acclaimed album The Truth Doesn't Matter, the forthcoming Fallen Angel mini-album demonstrates that the creative journey surrounding Mesh's latest full-length release is far from over. Founding members Mark Hockings and Richard Silverthorn felt there was still more to explore, resulting in a collection that extends and enriches the album's sonic and emotional landscape.
At the heart of the release is the energetic title track, a song that quickly proved it was destined for more than B-side status. What began as an instrumental piece carrying the working title "Pivot" evolved into something far more substantial once Hockings added his lyrical vision.
Explaining the track's origins, Richard Silverthorn states: "The track, 'Fallen Angel', was born out of a piece of music with the working title 'Pivot'. Mark came up with an inspired lyric and the finished song stood out as more than just a B-side. Enjoy!"
Driven by Mesh's signature blend of soaring melodies, electronic textures, and emotional depth, "Fallen Angel" offers another compelling glimpse into the enduring creative partnership between Hockings and Silverthorn, while building anticipation for the arrival of the new mini-album later this year.
