Electro‑industrial artist Marie Ann Hedonia has released her new EP Lunar Eclipse, a fiercely personal work built on themes of anger, trauma, and emotional upheaval. Raw, confrontational, and deeply autobiographical, the EP traces a journey from explosive rage to hard‑won acceptance — a transformation mirrored in its title.

The opening track, “Anseka’s Song”, erupts with unfiltered fury, confronting humanity’s disturbing fascination with violence. It’s a jarring and deliberate beginning, setting the emotional temperature for everything that follows. The track flows seamlessly into “Family Trauma”, the EP’s most personal moment, where Hedonia turns her gaze inward and confronts the wounds that shaped her.

Speaking about the release, Marie explains: “My family was messed up — screaming fights, job loss, arrests — and it generally made me a pretty angry person. I thought one day I would write this all down, maybe as a quirky memoir. Instead, life guided me to music, and so I channeled my rage and sadness into this EP.”

The title Lunar Eclipse carries symbolic weight as well. In astrology, a lunar eclipse represents emotional disruption and transformation — a fitting metaphor for the catharsis Hedonia seeks to ignite in both herself and her listeners. “I want this EP to release these emotions for myself and for the listener,” she adds.

With its blend of industrial tension, autobiographical storytelling, and ritual‑like emotional purging, Lunar Eclipse stands as Marie Ann Hedonia’s most vulnerable and confrontational work to date.

Along with the release of her second EP comes Eclipse, a full-length album encapsulating both EP releases. Link
