Sweden's dream/folk pop artist Maliika has returned with a new, shimmering gem, "Return Of The Sun".
"We who live in the Nordic countries and in countries near the Arctic Circle live in the polarities between the bright summer months and the darkness during the winter months. When it's summer, the day lasts until night, and in winter, we are enveloped in the black night. Every autumn, we need to prepare ourselves for a long period of darkness. In the song 'Return Of The Sun', I try to describe it, but the song is also a metaphor for the inner processes that take place in the hidden; the inner darkness, where we must search for our own light and in our own depths trustingly wait for the return of the light. We wait for an inner spring, when the inner sun begins to shine..."
The single was composed by Maliika and co-produced by Niklas Bergström and Pelle Broberg at NOX Studios in Stockholm. Link
