Lords Of Acid have shared the video for "Dream Boy", directed by Vicente Cordero, following the track's May release.
"The video was shot in Las Vegas with a cool mix of fans, friends and family, which gave the whole thing a really loose, fun and slightly chaotic energy", explains band co-founder Praga Khan. "We filmed it in crisp 4K, but also used an old camcorder from the '90s to give parts of it a grainy, timeless, almost otherworldly feel".
Previously described by the group as "a dark trip through the streets of Necropolis, where addiction feels like salvation and nightmares wear a beautiful disguise", the song is intentionally crafted as a dialogue between desperation and seduction.
Khan adds: "The visuals play into the same push and pull as the song itself. There's a broken soul caught in the middle of the chaos, while our Acid Queen (vocalist Carla Harvey) comes through like a dangerous angel floating in the smoke. The mix of modern and old-school footage makes the video feel a bit like a dream, a memory and a hallucination all at once".
The "Dream Boy" single arrived midway through the band's 30‑date Cheeky Freaky US tour, and the new video coincides with the recent announcement of 15 additional shows scheduled for October (dates listed below).
