Brazilian doomgaze/post-rock/post-metal band Isaurian has unveiled "Primal Life" as the first single from its forthcoming full-length, The Pulsing Rush, due on 25 October.
"Primal Life" surprises the listeners with gently doomy tones and sensual beats. The voice of Hoanna Aragão, caressing and powerful, is the real icing on the cake of a composition in which there is also room for shoegaze and post-rock moments.
Isaurian emerged in 2017 from wanting to make heavy, intense and emotional art from musicians with over 20 years of experience. Since then, the band has made records with some of the most renowned producers, including Rhys Fülber (Paradise Lost, Fear Factory), Matt Bayles (Mastodon, Caspian), Kevin Ratterman (Emma Ruth Rundle, Sumac) and Chris Common (Pelican, Chelsea Wolfe), including the critically acclaimed Chains Of Blue (2020) and Deep Sleep Metaphysics (2022).
After going through a production period plagued by personal issues that included the death of a brother and a cancer diagnosis, Isaurian is ready to deliver its most mature and complex record to date while maintaining the band's main characteristic: real, heartfelt, emotional, human music. Link
