Spain-based New Yorker and progressive darkwave/dark ethereal artist, Czarina (styled as C Z A R I N A on all platforms) unveils high-octane gothic sci-fi and dark pop track entitled "Exoskeleto" via German gothic label darkTunes Music Group. "Exoskeleto" is the new single from Czarina’s upcoming third record which will be released later this year.
Exploring themes of pain, death, rebirth, retribution and generating a new kind of anomalous power and strength for another round in the battle arenas of life, the track first surges ominously with tense soundscapes that harken both ethereal and extraterrestrial lifeforms before dropping into massive beats, acid basses, giant waves of high-voltage metallic machinery and mystifying gothic choir chants.
"Exoskeleto" reveals Czarina’s next stages in her artistic evolution that combines all of her signature heavy-hitting yet ethereal elements with her passion for fusing synth, electronic and organic sounds, orchestral arrangements, dynamic compositions, formidable vocal prowess, and artful lyricism.
The track was written, produced, and recorded by the artist at her seaside home along Costa Da Morte in Galicia, Spain which she often refers to as her muse and inspiration for all her creative work since moving during the Covid-19 pandemic. She leans on Von Hertzog (VHxRR, Information Society) of The Social Club (Reading, PA) who served as co-producer, mixing and mastering engineer on the track, and who has been providing additional production input to harness and finesse the very vast dynamics and experimental nature of Czarina’s sound since they started working together in her sophomore record, Arcana. "Exoskeleto" the music video was created by Czarina and her husband and creative partner DeadlyKawaii, under their two-man production house called The Kitsunés.
Her unique life story as a multi-hyphenate trading the gilded halls of high fashion to becoming an independent dark music artist in pursuit of meaning while moving continents was recently featured and published in Vogue Philippines (April 2023). Her sophomore record Arcana generated critical acclaim and a cult following. Czarina is also scheduled to perform at the iconic gothic festival Castle Party in Bolkow, Poland this year. Link
