French symphonic metal outfit Aria Blake has unveiled the official music video for “Stabat Mater Dolorosa”, a visually rich and symbolically charged piece that deepens the band’s emerging dark aesthetic. The track, taken from their debut EP As Night Descends, released in September 2025, also features a standout guest appearance by legendary guitarist Roland Grapow, known worldwide for his work with Helloween and Masterplan.
The new video places Aria Blake’s dramatic orchestral metal in a world of shadowed imagery, art‑driven symbolism and carefully crafted visual storytelling. The band describe it as an invitation into their own universe—one shaped by darkness, theatricality and emotional weight. “This video offers many fantastic shots, symbolism, visual arts references and of course lots for the ears to enjoy. You will be able to fully dive into Aria Blake’s universe and we promise you, it’s a very dark one,” the band announce.
Grapow, whose unmistakable guitar tone adds an extra layer of grandeur to the track, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration. “I would like to thank Aria Blake for letting me be part of the song. It’s a great track with a cool video and it is an honor for me to play such a fitting solo for this,” he says. Link
