German black metallers Waldgeflüster have set 7 November as the release date for their new double-album, Knochengesänge I and Knochengesänge II, and unveiled the first video single, "Knochengesang". The band's seventh full-length will be released via AOP Records.
Founded fittingly in autumn 2005, Waldgeflüster has steadily perfected an individual mix of melancholic and nature-bound topics, rendering homage to black metal and its complexity with every note and every word of its lyrical songs. Having worked on this album for four years, Waldgeflüster once more takes the listener into its world of melancholy, woods and stone, while lyrically focusing on the question of what we leave behind when we leave this world.
With powerful riffs and a unique soundscape paired with intense lyrics, Waldgeflüster has always created an unmistakable closeness to nature and emotion. Matured over the years, and after four years of work, a new double-album is now ready: Knochengesänge I and Knochengesänge II - dedicated to the carousel of thoughts on the subject of mortality and legacy. Born from the same DNA and fragments, the two parts take different paths in their presentation. Detail-loving and densely composed, Waldgeflüster captivates listeners musically and intellectually, offering the chance to experience the same pieces in different variants: deep, emotional, and powerful.
