Swedish gothic rock veterans Scheitan have released a brand‑new video for “Every Little Thing”, one of the standout tracks from their latest full‑length Wine For A Tormented Soul, issued in December last year via The Circle Music.
The song captures Scheitan’s trademark blend of bleak romanticism and shadow‑soaked melancholy, and the newly unveiled video deepens its emotional weight. Frontman Pierre Törnkvist describes the track as one of the album’s darkest moments, both musically and lyrically.
“It’s a very dark track,” Törnkvist explains. “Lyrically it speaks of life being totally pointless in the end, as absolutely every little thing around us withers and dies. Visually, I tried to find something that could match this. The children playing with a total unawareness of the truth of the world is truly matching the lyrical concept of the song, together with the devil lurking in the shadows…”
Wine For A Tormented Soul marked Scheitan’s long‑awaited return, offering a mature and atmospheric take on gothic rock infused with the band’s characteristic sense of existential gloom. “Every Little Thing” stands as one of the album’s most introspective pieces, now given new life through its evocative visual interpretation.
