Irish post-punk/gothic rock artist pMad has teamed up with USA/UK artist Lunar Paths and Australia's Killtoys for a collaboration project called Exquisite Corpses. Lunar Paths and Killtoys have released their EPs; now it is pMad's turn with Trust Devoured EP.
Exquisite Corpses is a boundary-pushing collaboration alongside UK/USA's Lunar Paths and Australia's Killtoys — a unique musical venture that brings together three artists from across the world to create something greater than the sum of its parts.
Inspired by the classic parlour game "Exquisite Corpse"—in which each person adds their piece without seeing what the previous person drew—the three artists challenged themselves to apply this concept to their songwriting.
pMad's three-track EPs from the project, called Trust Devoured, comprise pMad's song "Feed"—the percussive piece that kick-started this whole collaboration—and two further interpretations, "Closer" featuring Killtoys, and "Celestial" featuring Lunar Paths. Below you can watch the video for "Celestial".
pMad comments: "It's a collaboration that challenged us to let go of control and trust in each other's creativity. The result is something we could never have made on our own — a rich, cinematic, and raw collection of songs that reflect all our perspectives blended into a single album. It's a Frankenstein of feelings—each version stitched from the same drumbeat, yet telling a different story."
Below you can watch the video for "Celestial" and listen to the entire EP Trust Devoured. Over HERE, you can check out the previously released "Chance", a collaboration with Italian artist Think (Marco Menazzi). Link
