Danish composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Nils Lassen, known for his evocative artistry and work with the dream pop duo BlackieBlueBird, continues his solo journey with the release of "Fingerprints", the electrifying title track from his upcoming solo album. After two decades of internationally recognised music releases, Lassen delivers a sonic masterpiece that fuses raw emotion with bold production.
The single "Fingerprints" will be released on 18 April, but you can already hear it and watch the video right here on Terra Relicta. The Fingerprints album will be released on 30 May via Aenaos Records.
Built on a thunderous beat, "Fingerprints" is a massive dream/indie pop soundscape where male and female vocal harmonies weave seamlessly through orchestral swells, grinding guitars, and anthemic energy. The track is designed to feel expansive—big, immersive, and impossible to ignore.
But beyond its towering sound, "Fingerprints" carries a powerful message and Nils Lassen comments: I'm so happy to be able to present my new video of the new single from my upcoming album: Fingerprints. The song carries a powerful message. In an era where truth is contested and human values are under pressure, the song stands as a reminder of our shared existence and collective memory. It's about the evidence that we were here, leaving our fingerprints on the stairway of time. I hope you'll enjoy it!"
Accompanying the single is a music video that brings the song’s themes to life and reinforces the song’s message of unity, resilience, and the lasting impact we leave behind.
Joining Lassen on this commanding track is drummer Tomas Ortved, with deeply moving backing vocals from Anders Wallin and Marianne van Toornburg, elevating the song’s urgent, heartfelt spirit.
"Fingerprints" is more than just a song - it’s a statement. A call to remember, to stand together, and to move forward with purpose. Listen now and leave your mark. The song will be available on Aenaos Records' Bandcamp on 18 April. Highly recommended! Get it! And if you've missed it, the previously released singles, "The Miracle In May" and "Close Those Ocean Eyes", can be found over HERE and HERE. Link
