Belgian gothic/synth‑rock act Lovelorn Dolls step into a new chapter of their story with the introduction of a new bassist, Fabien, and the release of a brand‑new video for the track "Call Me Your Ghost". The song appears on the band’s latest EP, True Crimes, originally released in October 2025.
The addition of Fabien marks an important moment for the band, who in November last year suffered the sudden loss of founding member Bernard Daubresse. Despite the emotional weight of this transition, Lovelorn Dolls are moving forward with care and respect.
The band comments on welcoming Fabien into the line‑up: “We are happy to introduce our new bassist for the upcoming concerts: welcome Fabien! Yes… it’s that guy with all the tattoos and the beard. Last night, we had our first rehearsal with him, and it went very well. Of course, Bernard’s presence will always be very strong in Lovelorn Dolls. It was especially painful to rehearse some songs without him. Fabien respects our grief and is committed to giving you great concerts, while keeping our dear Bernard in our thoughts.”
Alongside the line‑up news, Lovelorn Dolls present a fresh visual companion to "Call Me Your Ghost". The video dives deep into the band’s love for dark cinema and psychological tension.
About the concept, the band explains: “A love letter to slasher cinema, twisted into our own nightmare. Zodiac obsession meets a wink to Scream — but this time, it’s personal. Home‑made, no filters, no safety net. Would you pick up the phone if a ghost called you?”
In addition, a special edition of the EP — True Crimes (In Memoriam Bernard Daubresse) — is scheduled for release in early spring and will be available via Bandcamp.
