Dark ambient/ritual folk artist Leila Abdul‑Rauf has issued an otherworldly new visual for "Eros Anima", taken from her sixth solo album, Andros Insidium, out in April via 20 Buck Spin.
The passionately unique piece was shot across striking, liminal landscapes — Death Valley, Mount Diablo, and Studio MirrorVoid — between April and September 2026. Conceived and directed by Samuel Foster and Leila Abdul‑Rauf, the piece was filmed by Foster with additional footage by Douglas Lilly, and edited by Foster. The cast features Domi Nigro, Paz Hidalgo, Zaskia Morgan, Kienan Hamilton, Gregory C. Hagan, Samuel Foster, and Leila Abdul‑Rauf, whose performances lend the work its ritualistic, dreamlike presence.
The arrival of the video coincides with the beginning of Abdul‑Rauf's Andros Insidivm Tour MMXXVI, which brings her immersive dark‑ambient sound to stages across the East Coast and beyond (tour dates below).
