At a pivotal moment for the New York City post‑punk duo Frenchy And The Punk, an unexpected and deeply challenging development has emerged, coinciding with the release of their new video for "War On War", out on 2 April via Distortion Productions. The track — which you can revisit HERE — now carries an even more urgent resonance, as vocalist Samantha Stephenson has recently been diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer. As a result, the duo have made the difficult decision to cancel all remaining shows for 2026 to prioritise her treatment.
As independent artists, touring is their primary source of income, and this sudden hiatus leaves a significant financial gap at an already gruelling time. To help bridge this, guitarist Scott Helland has launched a GoFundMe campaign to cover essential living expenses while Samantha focuses on her health. In addition to supporting the fundraiser, fans can also purchase the band's releases or merchandise, providing direct financial support while receiving something meaningful in return.
Samantha, we wish you a swift and complete recovery. With warm regards, Tomaz and Jerneja, Terra Relicta Link
