Dymna Lotva delivered another stunning performance at this year's edition of Prophecy Fest that earned it standing ovations. Now, the Belarus band offers more golden opportunities to catch its outrageous live shows by announcing the European Blood Fall Tour 2024.
Dymna Lotva will play seven concerts in six countries this autumn in support of its current album, The Land Under The Black Wings: Blood (Зямля Пад Чорнымі Крыламі: Кроў).
Dymna Lotva's enigmatic singer Katsiaryna "Nokt Aeon" Mankevich comments: "Ever since 2020 we had to become resigned to the fact that nothing ever goes as planned. So it came as no surprise last year that we ended up without a possibility to support our just released album with a tour. Yet we have also learned to persist in the face of adversity and here we are: we are glad to announce our first real tour ever! With the exception of the two festivals, all gigs have been organised by bands without the help of booking agents and promoters. Support the metal underground, bring your friends, and let's have a great time! A van has been rented, our sleeping bags are packed, and we can hardly wait to see you all!"
Dymna Lotva has many reasons to carry the torch of rebellion. Nokt and Jaŭhien had to flee their native Belarus due to political persecution and attempts by the Lukashenka dictatorship to censure and suppress their art.
On its third album, The Land Under The Black Wings: Blood (Зямля Пад Чорнымі Крыламі: Кроў), Dymna Lotva continues to sing songs filled with grief and pain. The Belarusians have beautifully and powerfully enhanced their very personal style. With a solid base in black metal but also taking many elements from doom and traditional music, the band has moved beyond the post-black metal tag and created melancholic, haunting melodies that bear its unmistakable trademark and result in a unique emotional sound.
Dymna Lotva bases its lyrics on true tales from Belarus, filled with accounts of sorrow gleaned from historical archives or folklore, while new horrors are committed in its country every day. Link
