Darkwave/synth-pop duo Chronotape released a brand new single and video, "The Loop". The single is from the upcoming debut full-length entitled Now It’s Dark, which will be released this June. The release comes as a double single, together with the instrumental version of the song.
The band comments: "We’re not big fans of telling the meaning of songs. Let the music, the lyrics, the sound speaks for itself. Our new music will not be available on Spotify and Tidal. Previous releases will also be removed soon. These two platforms (big platforms!) got many problems (especially Spotify) and their values and policies about AI music we don’t want to share. It’s no good, like one guy from Depeche Mode used to sing. We believe that human-made music and AI music products shouldn’t be on the same platforms. Other streamings got their issues too but at least they’re trying figure it out. Maybe something will change one sunny day. Maybe not. The industry needs new ways and new lifeforms to connect the artist and listener and make this connection fair. But right now we’re here. Bandcamp is the main platform for artists to get direct support from the listener. Let’s keep human-made music alive and support each other in these crazy times. Carry the flame." Link
