UK‑based synth‑pop/dark electro project 404 Error have unveiled a new music video for their cover of “A Heavenly Surrender”, taken from the sophomore album Genre Reveal Party, released on 13 February. The track is a reinterpretation of Queen Adreena’s B‑side to X‑ing Off The Days — a song that once closed the band’s live sets with a sombre, haunting finality.

Project mastermind 36663 reflects on the choice: “Back in 1999/2000, Queen Adreena would end their shows with this track. No encores — just a moody, devastating finish. I’ve always been a huge fan, so covering it felt natural. We wanted to tell the story of a broken man in a broken church, torn between right and wrong, with no clear redemption.”

404 Error, hailing from Northern England, operates as a semi‑anonymous outfit led by 36663. Their debut album, Scene Killers, earned positive acclaim for its tongue‑in‑cheek homage to the goth scene and its infectious synth‑pop hooks. With the Genre Reveal Party, the project steps into a more refined and mature sonic territory, expanding both atmosphere and narrative depth.

The previously released video for “Through His Lens” showcased this evolution (you can check it out over HERE), and “A Heavenly Surrender” continues that trajectory — darker, more cinematic, and emotionally charged. Link
