DRIFT INTO BLACK - Presents Second Track From The Upcoming Album

New York (USA) based one-man doom metal act Drift Into Black (led by ex-Grey Skies Fallen keyboardist Craig Rossi) has released the song "Among The Beast", taken from the upcoming album titled Patterns Of Light, which will be released via Black Doomba Records in April.

Craig commented: ""Among The Beast" is a dark doom track focused on entrapment and utter hopelessness. It's the second track from the Patterns Of Light album and the beginning of the storyline. The track is about abuse. A relationship first built on a lie and then spirals down to absolute control. The first line of the song says it all: "When the devil arrived he gave a false sense of warmth. Not knowing they'd burn in his fire."

With his fourth release, Patterns Of Light, the New Yorker continues a trend of four releases in four years in synth-driven gloom, inspired by the European vein of melodic doom-death metal. While many of the songs here draw from the same quarters as Saturnus, My Dying Bride and Ghost Brigade, they also shy away from copycatting the above-mentioned bands. Listen to "Among The Beast" in the player below, and over HERE you can still check out the previously released lyric video for the song "Burial Gown". Link
