CHRIS SHEEHAN - The Sisters Of Mercy Guitarist Passed Away

Chris Sheehan (real name Chris Starling) has passed away on Thursday 18th December, after he was suffering from incurable cancer (Stage 4 metastatic nodular melanoma). Chris Sheehan was born in 1965 and had been a teenage star in his native New Zealand, playing guitar in the new wave band The Dance Exponents between 1983 and the late 80s, but to the goth audience he was important because he played guitar for The Sisters Of Mercy on their 1996' Roadkill-Tour and then again from 2000 until 2003 on Trip The Light Fantastic, Exxile On Euphoria, the Summer Europe 2002 and Smoke And Mirrors tours. His musical career includes also work with the Starlings, Curve, Babylon Zoo and Mutton Birds. He had also launched a fundraising campaign to record a last solo album where he found some joy and relief. Listen below to his solo track "Out Of The Woods". RIP Chris! Link
