HIM – Will Start Working On New Material Next Year

The one and only love metallers on the planet, Finnish superstars HIM have revealed to be taking a short break, before starting work on their 9th studio album, which they plan to start working on in 2015. Currently the band is hosting some live shows in the US, which they will conclude with a concert in their hometown on New Year's Eve, to which a break will follow. The band's charming frontman Ville Valo stated: "We're playing one show on New Year's Eve in Helsinki and then that's gonna be it for touring for a while, because then we'll have been on the road more or less, on and off, for about a year and a half. So that's a long time for us. So it'd be nice to sit down for a wee bit and start working on some new stuff. So this is gonna be our not a 'farewell,' per se, but sort of like a 'bye bye for now' tour, so it'll be a fun one." HIM were busy promoting their 2013 album Tears On Tape for the last two years, including two shows in London in which they supported the legendary Fields Of The Nephilim. Currently the band has on-going shows with guests Motionless In White and Wound and have just released Lashes To Ashes, Lust To Dust: A Vinyl Retrospective '96-'03, a limited edition box set that contains their first four studio albums, their first EP and some other goodies, which fans will proudly add to their collection.
