MELKOR - Announces The Release Date Of New Album, Track Available For Streaming

German one-man atmospheric black metal band Melkor announced the official release of a new album entitled Irrlicht. Album is scheduled to hit the market on 12th December and celebrates the 10th anniversary of the project with 8 carefully chosen songs that, as results of a long maturing process, that get to the heart of Melkor's very essence. Not unlike the first demo, the mainman Patrick recorded and engineered this work almost entirely on his own. Irrlicht will be available for purchase via Bandcamp, Bigcartel, e-mail and Amazon. Melkor was founded in the beginning of 2004, rising from the ashes of two-men-project Kheled-Zarâm, its sound and music has a tangible surface, offers melodies, stories, rhymes, and yet is ambivalent and permeated by metaphors. The project enters the maelstrom of the depths and stares into the abyss, gives the listener presentiments of the enigmatic workings of powers that consume all existence and at the same time make it blossom. The man behind Melkor, Patrick Baumann, is known also as a as a live guitarist of German black metal acts Nocte Obducta and Agrypnie. Below you can give a listen to the track "Die Welle Erneuert Sich". Link
